Wow, Marcia! Are these gerberas really yours? What a wonderful first sign of spring. Your mulch works miracles, but I think your green thumb and good care also contribute greatly to your successes. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thank you so much for your kind words. This has bloomed all winter. What a sunshiny spot when the wind whips outside. Happy Valentine’s Day to you, too!
How pretty! The color of sunshine. I mulch my houseplants with black stones. The cats can’t dig that way!
What a great idea! I don’t have a cat now, but when I did, he sat in my plants and waited for me to come home from work. And the digging…
I don’t mulch my indoor plants, but then again, I don’t have many. Your idea and Holley’s both sound like good options. How fortunate for you that you’ve had a Gerbera blooming all winter!
We have a forced hot air heating system here, and my plants seem to dry out in a hurry. Mulch really helps. Winter blooms certainly are cheery!
wow! you have these beauties inside your house now? Amazing. How big are the pots? Do they get lots of sunshine?
This one is in a 9 inch square pot, usually in a south window, but sometimes I move it to an east window in the kitchen where I can enjoy it more. It blooms and blooms in either place in either place. So much fun!
