Snow! Can it be winter there already? I have never been to Maine, but I did visit New Hampshire once in September. It was stunningly gorgeous, and my husband and I were dreaming of a move from the Deep South, until we noticed the snow plows sitting in front of everyone’s houses. Maybe not! Also, as a lover of home made relish, I enjoyed your previous post, as well.
Marcia, thanks for visiting my own blog and leaving a kind comment. I appreciate it!
Payson says, “Cool!!” But so many of us remember with dread going out on those colder than cool mornings to keep our promises to help neighboring farmers bring in their crop. Still, I will always love the excitement of seeing the first snowfall and the beauty of the new season.
Just coming in from the garden…it’s 80 and sunny with mosquitoes buzzing. Your wintery photo reminds me to enjoy this, mosquitoes and all, while it lasts. It’s too easy to take these fine days for granted.
The previous post about the relish…ah, the grinder gifted by your granddad…too sweet and the aroma on the air must be amazing as your cook up that relish! Lovely.

Your picture tells it all… just a matter of time before it hits here. I’m going out to enjoy this day’s sunshine before the brrrrrr!

Beautifully said.
No! Not already? I love the garden chair in the foreground – a reminder of sunnier days to come…. eventually.
The snow did melt, and we’ve had lots of rain. Thanks for your comment about the chair. It reminded me that I haven’t put it away for the winter yet!
